In a few hours, we'll know where the nation's top recruit will play his college ball. Five-star defensive tackle Bryan Bresee's decision is coming this afternoon.
Bresee, a star at Damascus High School in Maryland, is the top player in the country, per 247Sports' composite rankings. Those roll in 247's internal rankings, as well as those from Rivals and ESPN.
Six major programs have been vying for his services. Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State are all finalists.
Bryan Bresee's decision will come at around 2:45 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
To get people excited, 247 included Barton Simmons' Ndamukong Suh comparison in their graphic.
Simmons has some concerns about his pass rushing technique, and says that he doesn't play very difficult competition, but thinks Bresee has the potential to be the No. 1 pick in a few years:
“Wide-bodied, bulky frame with the ability to grow into an inside defender or trim down into a big edge lineman,” Simmons wrote in an eval. “Has elite get-off and first-step quickness, particularly given his size and bulk. Shows quick hands as a pass rusher. Diagnoses plays effectively in the run game and has the agility to navigate through trash. High-level basketball player that translates that athleticism to the football field effectively. Plays poor competition in high school and is not challenged on a play-to-play basis. Limited polish as a pass-rusher. Trending towards an inside defender but possesses edge first-step quickness. No-doubt immediate impact elite Power 5 player with No. 1 overall NFL Draft choice upside.”
One program is seen as the overwhelming favorite to land Bresee. With 26 predictions logged at 247's crystal ball, 96-percent believe he will be a Clemson Tiger.
