Clemson Coach's Tweet Has Fans Thinking Tigers Will Wear Chrome Helmets Saturday

Update: Clemson will not be wearing chrome helmets, according to Dabo Swinney

Earlier: Clemson has a huge game this Saturday against Notre Dame - even ESPN's College GameDay will be in town ahead of the matchup. A tweet from a Tigers assistant has fans thinking that the team might be wearing something special to celebrate the occasion.

Tuesday night, assistant Durrell Barry tweeted about Notre Dame's "shiny" helmets. Tigers supporters are wondering if he's insinuating that Clemson will beat them at their own game, and debut the chrome alternates that leaked this past offseason.

Wednesday morning, Clemson's Snapchat account posted a photo of the team's equipment staff getting their normal helmets ready. It could mean that chrome isn't in the works. It could also just be deflection.
