Clemson DC Brent Venables 'Can't Imagine' That Florida's Jeff Driskel Is A Better QB Than N.C. State's Jacoby Brissett

Jacoby Brissett spent two years at Florida before transferring to N.C. State after losing the Gators' starting quarterback job to Jeff Driskel in 2013. Since then, Brissett has established himself as one of the most electric quarterbacks in America, as he's completed 68.9 percent of his passes this season for 1,364 yards, 13 touchdowns and an interception. Meanwhile, Driskel has struggled in Gainesville, with some fans saying that the Gators' starter should be benched.

Today, Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables talked about Brissett, as the Tigers take on the Wolfpack this weekend. While Venables admittedly hasn't watched Driskel play much, in his mind there's no way that Florida's signal caller is better than Brissett.

It can be dangerous to play the "what if?" game, but Venables may be right. While Driskel hasn't played particularly well this season, Brissett looks like he can be a star. Maybe Florida's offensive woes would have been remedied if Brissett was under center, but unfortunately, we'll never know.
