Clemson DC Brent Venables Denies Interest In Texas A&M Position

Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables' team has a day against South Carolina. The Tigers defense sacked Dylan Thompson four time and put up a startling 14 tackles for loss in the 35-17 win. It is not surprising that some other high-profile openings would be interested in him, but it doesn't sound like Venables will leave for another defensive coordinator job. When asked about the opening at Texas A&M, he was very staunch in his denial of interest.

Venables could definitely get head coaching looks in the near future, but it doesn't seem like he'll be one to make any kind of lateral move to take over a different defense based on his current situation.
