Clemson Grad Transfer RB Tyshon Dye Commits To ECU

Clemson grad transfer running back Tyshon Dye has found a new home.

Tyshon Dye, who saw limited action the last three seasons in a crowded Clemson backfield, will head to East Carolina for his final collegiate season.

As a graduate transfer, Dye will be eligible immediately. Miami was also heavily pursuing Dye.

247Sports' Ryan Bartow broke the news late Saturday night.

Dye was a four-star recruit out of Elberton (Ga.) Elbert County in the class of 2013. Unfortunately, an outside linebacker prospect in the same class named Wayne Gallman ended up beating Dye and everyone else out at running back.

After redshirting in 2013, Dye rushed for 351 yards and five touchdowns on 76 carries over the next three seasons.

He scored his lone TD of 2016 in a 56-10 win over Boston College.
