One of Clemson's top defensive players has decided to take the next step in his journey and enter the 2016 NFL Draft.

Star cornerback Mackensie Alexander, who was crucial for the Tigers during their undefeated season, has decided to forego his redshirt junior season and declare for the draft, he announced via Instagram Wednesday afternoon.

In the message, Alexander thanks his coaches, teammates and the Clemson fans for everything during his time as a Tiger. But he's ready to chase his dream.

Alexander is considered by many to be one of the three best corners in the upcoming draft, alongside Florida State's Jalen Ramsey and Florida's Vernon Hargreaves III.
