All of Clemson’s opponents this season are aiming to take down the 2018 national champions. Boston College will look to do just that on Saturday.
The Tigers have seen their No. 1 ranking drop to No. 4 in a matter of weeks because of inconsistent play, along with the weekly dominance of teams like LSU and Ohio State. Whether that drop is warranted or not, all Clemson needs to do is keep winning. The fact is, the Tigers control their own destiny.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been uncharacteristically turnover-prone this season. The Clemson QB has tossed 14 touchdowns to go along with eight interceptions. He’ll have to be sharp on Saturday, relying on Clemson’s offensive weapons.
Boston College hopes to play spoiler on Saturday. The Eagles are 4-3 this season with two wins and two losses in ACC play. BC relies on their heavy rushing attack, led by RB AJ Dillon.
Dillon’s rushed for 968 yards and nine touchdowns so far this season. He’ll need another big rushing performance for the Eagles to have a chance vs. Clemson.
