Clemson's Dabo Swinney Gives Refreshingly Honest Explanation On Florida Rumors

At this point, more than a dozen college football head coaches have been linked to the soon-to-be vacant position at Florida. Clemson's Dabo Swinney, who has turned the Tigers into a very respectable program in his tenure, is one of them. Saturday, after his team's 28-0 victory over Georgia State, he addressed the rumors in front of the media. He gave a refreshingly honest take.

Swinney explained that while he loves Clemson, he'd never be able to say that he'd "never" leave. It doesn't sound like a rant from someone who is seriously looking at the UF job, but he did make sure to leave everything open-ended. Aaron Brenner of The Post & Courier has a summary below:

Clemson still has one regular season game left this year - next week's rivalry matchup with South Carolina. If Florida doesn't fill the position before bowl season, expect a number of coaches to have to address their situations.
