Clemson's Mike Williams "Likely" Out For Rest Of Season, Per Coaches

This season has been full of awful injuries, and no conference has been hit harder than the ACC. Clemson star wide receiver Mike Williams suffered a small neck fracture after colliding with the goalpost on a touchdown catch against Wofford in early September. Initially, head coach Dabo Swinney said that he had no idea what the timetable for Williams return would be. This week, co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott said that he doesn't expect to have Williams back this regular season.

Swinney continues to say that he does not know when Williams may return, although the wide receiver apparently has his sights on a bowl game.

Dabo Swinney said #Clemson WR Mike Williams' mentality is he will play in bowl game, but Dabo has no idea if that's realistic. @keaganvaughn

We hope to see Williams back at some point, but only if he has a full recovery. Playing in a bowl game would be great, but not worth the risk of former injury.
