FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd thinks one of the four College Football Playoff frontrunners is a “fraud.”
The Clemson Tigers, with a win over Virginia Tech this Saturday, will win the ACC and almost certainly be part of the four-team College Football Playoff this December. But if it were up to FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd, the Tigers wouldn’t be sniffing the field.
Cowherd, who thinks that Alabama, USC, Ohio State and Michigan are the four best teams in the country, called Clemson a “fraud” – suggesting that they should have three of four losses. Here’s more:
“Clemson’s a fraud. Clemson is going to get their ears boxed by whoever they play. They should have three losses, maybe four. I don’t buy into Clemson. They’re the New York Giants of college football. I don’t care what their record is. I don’t buy into them. And I had Clemson in the final four, so I should be rooting for them. I got no dog in the fight here. I think USC is the second-best team in the country and Vegas agrees.”
Clemson was certainly no fraud in last year’s College Football Playoff. The Tigers crushed Oklahoma and almost upset Alabama in the title game. Regardless, if Clemson beats Virginia Tech this Saturday, we’ll get to see if Cowherd is right.
