Christian Wilkins, now a two-time All-ACC defensive tackle, has moonlighted as a touchdown-scoring fullback for Clemson football this year. That may come to an end, after something that happened during the Tigers' win over South Carolina.

Up a touchdown in the second quarter, Dabo Swinney called the defensive lineman's number on a 4th and goal play.

Wilkins punched it in, and then went right for the Heisman pose.

Clemson went on to beat South Carolina 56-35 in a shootout.

Christian Wilkins' Heisman pose celebration drew a 15-yard penalty on Clemson football, and per one report, Dabo Swinney was heated at his star player.

Via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:

The Associated Press reported Swinney “got in Wilkins’ face for a minute or two on the sidelines” after the 1-yard dive across the goal line in the second quarter. He also told Wilkins, who has carried the ball three times for 3 yards and two touchdowns this season, he will get no additional opportunities “if he ever pulls a similar stunt.”

After the game, Swinney was asked about Wilkins' Heisman hopes, and he was very dismissive. No one actually expects the defensive tackle to be involved in the voting.

The Associated Press also reported Swinney said, “(if former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson) didn’t win the Heisman, Christian is not going to win it.”

Flagging the Heisman pose in general is rough, and you'd think Swinney would be willing to have a little more fun. Of course, all of the games down the stretch mean a ton, with the ACC Championship and, potentially, the national championship on the line.

15 yards in those games are not worth risking.
