In just a few days the Clemson Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide will meet once again for the right to call themselves national champions. Clemson and Alabama have won the past three national titles and will make it four-straight on Monday night.
Clemson took down Notre Dame by a final score of 30-3 in an absolutely dominant performance. The Tigers won the game without star defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence and two other players after they tested positive for a banned substance.
On Monday morning, Dabo Swinney provided an update on the suspended players. Unfortunately, there's no new information regarding their status for the title game.
Clemson announced it plans to appeal the suspensions, but it's unlikely Lawrence or the other two players are reinstated before the title game on Monday night.
Lawrence's replacement Albert Huggins helped hold the Fighting Irish to just 88 yards on the ground and 2.5 yards per carry.
Clemson and Alabama kick off on Monday night at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
