Regardless of what the scoreboard says for the Clemson Tigers, Dabo Swinney is always energized on the sideline. Even when his team is blowing out its opponent he doesn’t take his foot off the gas.
Clemson heard tons of criticism through the first month because it didn’t play up to its standards. All the hype surrounding Trevor Lawrence and the offense quickly disappeared.
Despite having an undefeated record, the Tigers have been called overrated by several skeptics. They’re certainly proving their doubters wrong this afternoon though, as they are dismantling the Florida State Seminoles with ease.
The only negative so far came when kicker B.T. Potter missed a 24-yard field goal attempt in the closing seconds of the first half.
Swinney didn’t let Potter off the hook for that miss as he chewed his ear out on the sidelines.
Potter’s missed attempt won’t exactly affect the outcome, but it’s a mistake that cannot happen as the season rolls on.

Swinney knows that every phase of this team needs to play well in order to defend its title. Anything less than a trip to the national championship would be considered a disappointment for Clemson.
Now that Lawrence and the offense have figured out their issues, it might be time for the Tigers to shift their focus over to their special teams.
