While the main focus for the Clemson Tigers is winning their Cotton Bowl matchup against Notre Dame, it’s never too early to start recruiting for the 2020 class.
Although the Tigers missed out on Jadeveon Clowney back in 2011, they’re in pursuit of his cousin Demon Clowney. The four-star defensive end is already considered one of the best players at position.
Penn State and Georgia are currently projected as favorites to land the Maryland native, but those programs will now have to battle with another powerhouse.
Clowney announced on Twitter that he received an offer from Clemson.

The St. Frances Academy product is listed as the No. 6 weak-side defensive end in the country, per 247Sports.
It’ll certainly be an interesting decision for Clowney, who also received an offer from South Carolina, where his cousin is a Gamecock legend. However, it’ll be hard to resist the Clemson Tigers and their ability to constantly make the College Football Playoff.
Well, it’s safe to say that Clowney won’t be short of options when he makes his commitment.
