Each Team's Playoff Odds With A Win Today, Per FiveThirtyEight
USC's victory over Stanford on Friday night changed the odds for a number of teams.
USC took down Stanford in a tight Pac-12 title game on Friday night, and at this point, the Trojans now have a 23% chance of being selected for the College Football Playoff on Sunday, per FiveThirtyEight. That number could go up or down based on Saturday's results, of course.
Let's take a look at each team's playoff chances with a win on Saturday.
- If Clemson beats Miami in the ACC title game, it'll have better than a 99% chance of making the playoff
- If Oklahoma beats TCU in the Big 12 title game, it'll have better than a 99% chance of making the playoff
- If Auburn beats Georgia in the SEC title game, it'll have better than a 99% chance of making the playoff
- If Wisconsin beats Ohio State in the Big Ten title game, it'll have better than a 99% chance of making the playoff
- If Georgia beats Auburn in the SEC title game, it'll have a 96% chance of making the playoff
- If Ohio State beats Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game, it'll have a 54% chance of making the playoff
- If Miami beats Clemson in the ACC title game, it'll have an 89% chance of making the playoff
- If TCU beats Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game, it'll have a 14% chance of making the playoff
Alabama, right now, has just a 27% chance of getting in.
