ESPN College GameDay's Staff Discusses Clemson's College Football Playoff Chances

College GameDay discusses Clemson's playoff chances.

Is Clemson out of the College Football Playoff race?

Clemson lost to Syracuse on Friday night, 27-24, in one of the biggest upsets of the college football season. But does the loss mean the Tigers are done when it comes to the College Football Playoff?

Kirk Herbstreit & Co. don't believe that Clemson is done after the loss. They noted that the Tigers lost to Pittsburgh a year ago and recovered to win the ACC and represent the league in the playoff. David Pollack reminded fans that no team in the College Football Playoff has finished the season undefeated.

Desmond Howard said, however, that Washington State is out after its ugly 37-3 loss to California.

It's hard to disagree. Clemson's loss will definitely damage its resume, but if the Tigers win out, it won't matter - they'll be in. They've certainly got some work to do to make it happen though.
