ESPN's Travis Haney Shoots Down Rumor Regarding Clemson Coach, South Carolina Job

Ridiculous internet rumors are a major part of any college football coaching search, especially when power programs and big rivalries are involved. With the Palmetto Bowl just a few weeks away, we have a doozy coming out of South Carolina. According to rampant chatter on Gamecocks message boards and Twitter, Clemson assistant Jeff Scott called Houston head coach Tom Herman, reportedly a leading candidate for the SC job, to advise him against taking it.

Does that sound ridiculous? It should, and according to ESPN's Travis Haney, there's no truth behind it.
