Florida State vs. Clemson preview:
Clemson got off to a slow-ish start to the year, at least based on the Tigers' lofty national championship expectations, but remain undefeated at 7-0. Florida State, on the other hand, has slipped a bit this season, with losses to Louisville and North Carolina already this year. The 'Noles enter the game at 5-2.
Deshaun Watson is having another great season for the Tigers. So far, he has 1,950 yards, 20 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, and he's spread the ball around. Five Tigers have at least 200 yards, and six have caught multiple touchdown passes.
Florida State is led by running back Dalvin Cook, who has 900 rushing yards and 357 yards through the air, with eight total touchdowns. Freshman quarterback Deondre Francois has been incredibly impressive as a true freshman, averaging 8.49 yards per attempt, with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Clemson beat Florida State last season 23-13, snapping a three game winning streak in the series by the Seminoles. FSU leads the all-time series 20-9.
Florida State vs. Clemson prediction:
Jameis Winston may not be running through the tunnel, but this Florida State team is still loaded with talent, and Doak will be rocking for this huge ACC Atlantic battle.
Still, Clemson knows the magnitude of this game, and for two years, has been incredible in big games, coming just a few plays from capturing a national championship against Alabama last season. We don't see the Tigers faltering before this year's Playoff, but the 'Noles will give them everything they can handle.
