One of the top tight ends in the country, 2021 four-star Jake Briningstool has Clemson firmly on his radar. By all accounts, his recent trip to the Clemson campus was a pretty good one.
Speaking to TigerNet this week, Briningstool spoke glowingly about his recent unofficial visit to Clemson for the Tigers’ game against Texas A&M.
Among the revelations from Briningstool’s visit was a discussion with head coach Dabo Swinney, where he learned that he was the only tight end the school has even offered so far.
“We just talked and he was telling me how much of a priority to the class and how I’m the only tight end they’ve offered so far and I’m the one they wanted.”
Briningstool also came away very impressed by how the Tigers handled Texas A&M, winning 24-10.
He later spoke about the status of his recruitment. As of now, Briningstool’s top four are Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State. He plans to make his decision by the end of the year.
247Sports rates Briningstool as the No. 109 prospect in the nation. He is the No. 2 tight end in the nation, and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Tennessee.
As a sophomore, Jake Briningstool recorded 25 receptions for 325 yards and a touchdown.
