Jaylin Simpson, a four-star defensive back in the class of 2019, already has a favorite in his recruitment.
Simpson, a native of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, is the No. 198 overall composite player in the class, per 247Sports. He's ranked No. 16 as an athlete in the class, and No. 23 in Georgia.
Simpson visited Clemson in September when the Tigers defeated Auburn, and plans to head back for the game against Florida State. There's a lot of time left in Simpson's recruitment, but right now, he has Dabo Swinney's program No. 1.
From The Clemson Insider:
Where does Clemson stand on Simpson’s list right now?
“No. 1,” he said. “I love the relationship I have with the coaches and how they are recruiting me.”
The junior is not hurting for offers either. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech are among the other schools that have offered Simpson.
