Georgia linebacker Kevin Swint is a 2020 recruit, but already has a pretty good idea of where his recruitment is heading.

He might announce his commitment as early as next weekend.

Swint will be in Clemson for the program's Junior Day recruiting event on January 26.

The Tigers have been heavily involved with the four-star recruit, and he has named them as his favorite school at this point.

From The State:

“I hear from Clemson almost every day,” Swint said. “They say I am the top guy in the class of 2020 and they want me to be that guy that comes in and help fill in the missing linebacker pieces that will be leaving in a couple of years. Right now they are the top school for me, that’s really about it. They are the top school. I think they have a big lead on everybody else.”

Kevin Swint went into detail about why the Tigers stand out in the interview.

Unsurprisingly, a lot of it has to do with elite Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables.

“They run like a four man front and the D-line takes up most of the gaps,” Swint explained. “You really have one gap. It’s not like a regular 3-4 defense where the defense is all spread out. And coach Venables, what he’s doing right now, he’s taking over the defensive game on the college level. Why wouldn’t you want to go to a team that’s locking people down. They held Alabama to like 15 or 17 points. Why wouldn’t you want to get coached by a guy like him?”

Florida and South Carolina are both involved with the Carrollton star as well, but it sounds like he's a strong commitment candidate at Junior Day next Saturday.

247Sports ranks Swint as the No. 194 player in the country. He's the No. 9 outside linebacker in the class of 2020, and the No. 21 player in Georgia.

The Tigers are off to a pretty quick start in 2020. Dabo Swinney's staff has landed five commitments already, all of whom are four-star players. The class ranks sixth in the country early on.
