LaSamuel Davis is heading down to the FCS level after leaving Clemson football.
Last week, reports emerged that Davis is leaving Clemson football.
Davis redshirted this past season, after enrolling at Clemson in January. He originally committed to the Tigers back in May 2014.
While Davis had other big offers as a high school recruit, including Florida, Kansas State, North Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA, and South Carolina, he will instead head down a level, where he can play right away.
According to Sports Talk SC, Davis is heading to local SC State.
The Bulldogs went 6-7 last season, and are coached by Oliver Pough, who has been in that position since 2002, and is 115-54 overall.
The school, located in Orangeberg, is just about 20 miles from his hometown of Bamberg.
