Could the Clemson Tigers be on the verge of adding a fifth five-star prospect to their Class of 2020? If they hear what they want to hear from defensive end Myles Murphy they certainly will.
Murphy is set to make his college announcement on Friday, and by most accounts it will be the Clemson Tigers. His final two choices are Clemson and Auburn.
247Sports rates Murphy as a five-star prospect and the No. 8 player in the country. He is the No. 2 strong-side defensive end in the country, and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Georgia.
Last year at Hillgrove High School, Murphy recorded 53 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks.
Big news coming!!! Been waiting for this day for a long time. Really want to thank everyone that’s been in my life throughout this process to get me here💯. #Thewaitisalmostover Will it be #WDE or #Clemson ???

247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions have unanimously projected Murphy to pick the Clemson Tigers.
Rivals has similarly tipped Murphy to join what is on the verge of being a historic Clemson recruiting class.
Clemson has already secured six of the top 50 players in the country, including top quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, two top-rated defensive tackles, and No. 2 overall prospect Bryan Bresee.
Getting Murphy would give Clemson five five-star players, matching the combined totals of Alabama, LSU, and Georgia. They would also have 15 committed recruited, second only to the Crimson Tide at this stage in the process.
