Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield Says Clemson Had The 2 Best Players He Faced Last Season

With their run to the national championship game, and near upset of Alabama for a title, it is no real surprise that Clemson had a ton of talent last season. Quarterback Deshaun Watson is the headliner for the Tigers, but the defense was incredibly stout as well. According to one of the nation's other best quarterbacks, Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield, the Tigers' D featured the two best players he faced all year: defensive end Kevin Dodd and cornerback Mackensie Alexander.

Dodd was drafted in the early second round by the Tennessee Titans, while Alexander went later in the same round to the Minnesota Vikings. Clemson will certainly miss the two of them this season. We don't imagine opposing offenses will.
