Photo: Clemson Will Wear New Helmet Decals To Honor First Bowl Game

Clemson is set to tangle with Oklahoma in Monday's Russell Athletic Bowl, but apparently the Tigers will be honoring more than just their 2014 squad when they take the field. The school has posted a photo of new helmet decals the players will be wearing for the game. They commemorate the program's first appearance in a bowl game - the 1940 Cotton Bowl, played against Boston College after the 1939 season. The Tigers won that one, 6-3.

It's the 75th anniversary of the contest.
