The defending champions are back in action as Clemson hosts Georgia Tech tonight. As most fans would expect, almost all predictions involving this game lean toward the home team.

Clemson lost several playmakers to the NFL Draft, such as Clelin Ferrell, Christian Wilkins and Hunter Renfrow. Yet, Dabo Swinney still has more than enough firepower to make a run toward another national championship.

Sophomore quarterback Trevor Lawrence is expected to shine this season. He'll get an early crack at making his case for the Heisman Trophy tonight when he faces Georgia Tech.

ESPN released its prediction for the Clemson-Georgia Tech game, and it's about as lopsided as it can be for a conference showdown.

According to ESPN's Football Power Index, Clemson has a 98.8 percent chance of defeating Georgia Tech.

It's not too surprising when you consider that ESPN's FPI has the Tigers favored in every game on their schedule.

ESPN's Football Power Index predicts the winner of the Clemson-Georgia Tech game.

Amari Rodgers and Bryton Constantin are the only players on the roster who will miss the season opener. The rest of the team should be locked and loaded for this game.

If the Tigers are going to get back to the College Football Playoff, they'll most likely need another undefeated regular season. An early victory against the Yellow Jackets would be a good start.

Kickoff for this game is at 8 p.m. ET from Memorial Stadium.
