Tennessee has often referred to itself as "Wide Receiver U" and it seems like the program that produced Cordarrelle Patterson, Dont'e Stallworth, Stanley Morgan, Alvin Harper and others doesn't want to relinquish its title. The Vols' WR coach Zach Azzanni posted a tweet yesterday referring to UT as the original "Wide Receiver U."
Clemson has produced some outstanding collegiate-turned-NFL wide receivers of late, including Sammy Watkins, DeAndre Hopkins and Martavis Bryant. The Tigers' released a YouTube video and Instagram graphic last night to stake their claim as the new "Wide Receiver U."
It doesn't look like Azzanni appreciated Clemson's assertion, and he tried to rebut it a short time ago on Twitter.
Wait, we're not done here. Clemson WR coach/co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott fired back at Azzanni, and he even included some emojis for good measure.

One of these guys has to come in with a "mic drop" type post now. It can't end like this. We're having too much fun.
