Video: Clemson Football Players Went Nuts After Coastal Carolina Won The 2016 College World Series

Clemson players celebrate after Coastal Caroline World Series win.

Clemson Players

Clemson knows what it is like to play for a national championship. The Tigers came up just short on the biggest stage against Alabama last season, and are hungry to take the next step in 2016.

Today, however, they were focused on rooting for another local program: Coastal Carolina, located in Conway, S.C. The Chanticleers defeated Arizona 4-3 to win the 2016 College World Series, surviving a ninth-inning rally in the process.

Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams posted a video of a crowd of Tiger players going nuts when Coastal reliever Alex Cunningham retired the final batter on a swinging strikeout to clinch the crown.

It's awesome to see Clemson supporting a local squad like this. And by the way, what a season for the Chanticleers.
