High school quarterback Trevor Lawrence, a Clemson commit from the 2018 class, is the No. 1 ranked recruit on 247 Sports.
Trevor Lawrence, a junior pro-style quarterback at Cartersville High School (Ga.), is the No. 1 ranked recruit in the 2018 class, per 247Sports.
The junior committed to the Clemson Tigers back in December, but was recently visited by Alabama head coach Nick Saban. As expected with an athlete of his caliber, the 6-foot-6, 196-pound prototype QB has suitors from a plethora of Division I schools. According to 247 Sports, Georgia, Clemson and Tennessee are the favorites right now to snag the QB, with Georgia projected as the most likely school for Lawrence, who is a Georgia native.
In addition to Lawrence, the Clemson Tigers are expected— or are at least projected currently— to receive commitments from the No. 2 and 3 ranked players in the country, DE Xavier Thomas and RB Zamir White, respectively. Wouldn’t be a bad haul.
National Signing Day for the 2018 recruiting class is February 7, 2018.
