The case of missing Clemson athletics staffer Bert Henderson has reached a tragic end.
The 60-year-old Henderson was reported missing from his home in South Carolina on Monday, and has been found dead, per reports.
Henderson had worked at Clemson since 1978 and was the school’s associate athletic director of planned giving.
Here are some details, from FOX Carolina:
Eight search and rescue teams including over 100 people were involved with the search for Henderson. Horse, and K9’s were also dispatched to assist. The search took place on land and in air.
The coroner said Henderson’s body was found over a mile from his property in a wooded terrain area by a search team around noon on Tuesday. There is no word on how long he’s been out there or if any weapons or trauma were noticed to his body at this time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Henderson’s family and the entire Clemson community at this time.
