After suffering a disappointing loss to Syracuse on its home court, Duke rebounded extremely well with a crucial victory over Virginia on Saturday.

Next up for the Blue Devils is a showdown with the Pittsburgh Panthers on the road.

While Tre Jones likely needs more time to recover from his shoulder injury, the duo of Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett should continue to carry the offense. They combined for 57 points against the Cavaliers this past weekend.

Pittsburgh coach Jeff Capel has done a masterful job of getting the best effort from his players in his first year. The Panthers own a 12-6 record that includes wins over Louisville and Florida State.

Capel served as Duke's assistant coach for eight years before landing another marquee gig.

If Pittsburgh is going to keep this contest close, then standout freshman Xavier Johnson will have to play at a high level. He'll have the chance to exploit the Blue Devils in the backcourt, especially if Jones is inactive once again.

However, he'll also need assistance from another impact player on the Panthers, as both Trey McGowens and Jared Wilson-Frame have flashed potential but haven't been consistent.

Duke would be tied with North Carolina for the best conference record in the ACC with another victory tonight.

Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. ET from Petersen Events Center.

The game will be on ESPN with Rece Davis and LaPhonso Ellis on the call.
