At 7-foot, center Mark Williams is one of the biggest prospects in the recruiting class of 2020. With only a few official visits left on his list, Williams is close to revealing where he’ll be taking his talents next year.
Williams revealed on Wednesday that he cut his list to three schools. Duke, Michigan and UCLA all made the cut. Ohio State and Stanford were removed from the top five he released in August.
Williams has already visited UCLA, but is slated to make his visits to Michigan and Duke later this month.
According to recruiting insider Adam Zagoria, Williams will announce his decision on November 1.

247Sports rates Williams as a four-star prospect and the No. 29 overall player in the country. He is the No. 5 center in the nation, and the No. 5 recruit from the state of Florida.
As for his potential choice, 247Sports has given him an 89-percent chance of choosing Duke. Williams has saved the visit to Durham for last, and spoke glowingly about Coach Mike Krzyzewski in a recent interview with Stockrisers.
“Obviously, they’re a legendary program with Coach K. They’ve been recruiting me hard, and they want to create a really special 2020 class. I feel like they do a good job of adjusting for their bigs to do what they do well from year to year.”
As for Michigan and UCLA, Williams had kind words for head coaches Juwan Howard and Mick Cronin respectively.
It’s a decision that really could come down to the wire. All three teams will be eager to bring a big man like Williams into the fold.
