It looks like five-star combo guard DJ Steward will be skipping that visit to Louisville. After making a visit to an NCAA blue blood this past weekend, Steward has decided to end his recruitment and make his commitment official.

In an interview with 247Sports, Steward announced that he would be committing to Duke University. The move comes on the heels of an official visit he took to Duke.

“I’ll be heading to Duke University to play under Coach K... Me and my family went on the visit this weekend and it was amazing. We love the principles of Duke and how united Duke was as a program.”

Steward announced his decision on Twitter.

Among many reasons for picking Duke, Steward said that the program would allow him to chase his NBA dream. He said he looks forward to playing under Coach K.

“I will get to chase my goals and be one step closer to my dream of playing in the NBA. Also, I will be able to develop as a person off the court as well as a player while playing under the most winningest coach in history, Coach K.”

Last month, Steward announced his top eight schools, and has since taken visits to Duke and Texas.

With the addition of Steward, Duke now moves into No. 2 in 247Sports' 2020 team rankings behind Kentucky.

Steward joins Jalen Johnson and Jeremy Roach in a recruiting class that is quickly turning into one of the nation's best.

Duke and Kentucky are currently the only schools with multiple five-star commitments in 2020. But with Steward now in the fold, the Blue Devils are the only program with three of them.
