Duke basketball recruiting is off to a typically strong start for 2019. The Blue Devils currently have the No. 6 class in the nation, per 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
Five-star forward Wendell Moore and five-star center Vernon Carey are already in the fold. So is four-star shooting guard Boogie Ellis.
Duke isn't done yet though. The Blue Devils still have their sights set on a couple of major prospects, including five-star big man Isaiah Stewart.
Stewart is the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2019 class, and has Duke, Michigan State, Syracuse, Kentucky and others vying for his services.
Moore told USA Today's Jason Jordan that he is feeling pretty confident that Stewart will become a Blue Devil in the coming months.
“I feel like Isaiah (Stewart) will be the next one that commits to ‘The Brotherhood,” Moore said referring to Duke. “I’d say it’s close with us and a couple other schools, but at the end of the day I think we’ll end up getting him.”

“We’re trying to make that happen,” said Moore, who scored 25 points in Cox Mill’s 75-61 win over No. 24 Greensboro (N.C.) Day School Saturday night at the Crown Town Classic. “I talk to him twice a week, but that’s more because we’re real friends. I don’t always talk about Duke, we talk about everything.”
If Duke can add Stewart, they might wind up with the top recruiting class in the country, or at the very least, would move into the top five.
