Duke 5-Star Freshman Jayson Tatum Reportedly Goes Down With Injury

Jayson Tatum reportedly suffered an injury today.

Duke five-star freshman Jayson Tatum reportedly went down with an apparent foot injury during today's "pro day," which was attended by 60-plus NBA scouts and executives.

ESPN college basketball analyst Seth Greenberg was on-hand for the session.

"Jayson Tatum goes down with some type of foot injury," he wrote on Twitter. "Didn't look good."

Tatum, a 6-foot-8, 208-pound swingman out of Missouri, was ranked the No. 1 small forward and No. 4 player overall in the 2016 class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

One of the Blue Devils' other heralded freshmen, Harry Giles, underwent knee surgery earlier this month. Coach K said they'll be taking it slow with him.

From Fox Sports:

"We’ve talked a lot, like ‘you’re going to do this slow, because you don’t just have this season ahead of you at Duke, but your whole future and we want to make sure we’re not just, just short-term making decisions, but long-term making decisions.”

Duke, the preseason No. 1 team in the country, opens its 2016-17 season on Nov. 11 against Marist.
