Duke basketball is already off to an unsurprisingly good start in its 2020 recruiting efforts. A pair of five-star players—small forward Jalen Johnson and point guard Jeremy Roach—have already pledged to Mike Krzyzewski’s program.
The Blue Devils should be able to add at least a few big pieces to that strong pair. Earlier in the week, 247‘s Evan Daniels predicted a group of other top recruits that he believes will end up in Durham.
The recruiting site is known, in part, for its crystal ball prediction system. It allows various analysts to log their best reads on where they think football and basketball recruits will wind up.
It is far from perfect, but when a solid majority of analysts and reporters think a player is heading somewhere, it is right more often than not.
Here is where Duke stands, via the crystal ball, for its major four and five-star targets as of now.
Five-star 2020 small forward Ziaire Williams (No. 4 overall):

Five-star 2020 center Walker Kessler (No. 14 overall):
Auburn, coming off of its first Final Four berth, is the only other team to log an expert’s prediction as of today. Kessler is also in Durham for a visit this weekend.
