Duke Will Travel To Dominican Republic This Summer, Play National Team

The Duke Blue Devils will travel to the Dominican Republic for an exhibition game in August.

The Duke Blue Devils are headed to the Dominican Republic in August to take on the national team, according to multiple reports. While Duke officials confirmed that the trip was taking place, they can't share any more details until the trip is finalized. The Blue Devils will be allowed extra practice time to prepare for the matchup, which will be a nice bonus with this squad being such an inexperienced squad.

The NCAA allows teams to take an overseas trip once every four years.

Duke basketball last went overseas in 2011 to China and Dubai, where the Blue Devils took on the national teams of China and the Untied Arab Emirates. They played four games and won all of them.

Duke will also travel to Chicago and Oregon this upcoming season for tournaments.
