Duke freshman forward Marvin Bagley III will miss a second-straight game Wednesday night.
Bagley sat out Sunday's win over Georgia Tech with a sprained right knee, which he suffered in last Thursday's loss at North Carolina. Bagley won't play tonight at home against Virginia Tech.
Duke announced the news on Twitter minutes ago.
Bagley is leading Duke in scoring (21.2 points) and rebounds (11.4) per game. The Blue Devils are 20-5 and ranked No. 12 in the AP Poll.
Without Bagley, Duke will once again look to struggling senior Grayson Allen to carry a bigger load. Allen scored 23 points, including 10-of-10 from the free-throw line against the Yellow Jackets on Sunday.
Earlier in the year, Allen scored 35 points in a win over Michigan State. Bagley sat out much of that game with an eye injury.
Bagley's fellow freshmen Wendell Carter Jr. and Gary Trent Jr. were also productive in his absence against Georgia Tech. Carter produced a double-double (19 points, 10 rebounds) while Trent chipped in 15 points.
Win or lose tonight, it would help Duke to have Bagley back by Sunday, when the Blue Devils travel to Clemson to take on the 20-4 Tigers.
Duke and Virginia Tech will tip off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
