Duke Freshman F Harry Giles Has Knee Surgery, Out Six Weeks

One of Duke's prized freshmen will be out of action for the next six weeks, the program announced this afternoon.

Six-foot-10-inch forward Harry Giles, a former five-star recruit, underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee today, Duke announced. Giles had sat out Saturday's open practice.

While this procedure isn't that serious, Giles has had knee trouble in the past. He missed his senior season after partially tearing his right ACL and also tore multiple ligaments in his left knee in 2013.

The No. 2 player in the 2016 class, Giles is projected to go No. 3 overall in next year's NBA Draft, according to's latest mock draft.

Here's hoping the latest Harry Giles knee surgery goes smoothly, and he is able to return to the court soon without a hitch.
