Video: Duke's Luke Kennard Hits The Game Winner To Beat Wake Forest

Duke's players win the game against Wake Forest.

Luke Kennard hit a clutch three-pointer to steal a win for the Blue Devils in a chippy game at Wake Forest.

Sophomore guard Luke Kennard scored 34 points in a close 85-83 victory over Wake Forest today, with 30 of them coming in the second half. Duke needed every single bucket, but of the 14 shots he took, none were more important than the three-point attempt with just over nine seconds left in the game.

Down by just one point after trailing by 10 at the half—and at times looking totally lost on the court—the Blue Devils put the ball in Kennard's hands one last time to see if he could squeeze out some more magic.

And he did, nailing the shot to secure a much-needed win for the Blue Devils.

Kennard was 6-of-6 from behind the arc, and recorded four rebounds and four assists. Grayson Allen—when he wasn't getting into scuffles with Wake Forest players—managed to chip in 19 points, six rebounds and three assists.
