Duke PG Tyus Jones Is Entering The NBA Draft

One day after forward Justise Winslow announced he would be joining center Jahlil Okafor and turning pro, the last of Duke's trio of freshman starters said the same. Point guard Tyus Jones, the Most Outstanding Player of the 2015 NCAA Tournament, is headed to the NBA, per an announcement from the school.

Jones averaged 11.8 points, 5.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game for the national champion Blue Devils this season. His departure leaves Duke without a point guard on its roster for next season.

The Blue Devils are recruiting 2016 point guard Derryck Thornton with the intention of having him reclassify to 2015 and join the program next season. The team could also conceivably fill the void at floor general by landing a graduate transfer with immediate eligibility.
