A Duke student among the “Cameron Crazies” was reportedly kicked out of tonight’s game vs. Michigan State for an incredibly classless sign.
Duke hosts Michigan State at Cameron Indoor Stadium in a few moments, but one of the “Crazies” who had a prime spot for the game will be watching elsewhere. WRAL’s Joe Ovies posted a photo of a Duke fan with a sign that mocked the Flint water crisis, reading “The Water Tastes Better In North Carolina.”
Never make a sign again, Cameron Crazy. pic.twitter.com/BjOv59UVS0

According to multiple reports, the sign was taken away and the student responsible was kicked out ahead of the game.
Here is the sign from the Duke student section. Apparently security took it away. https://t.co/nxPDcpxuMg

Kid who had this sign was apparently tossed, according to the Duke students crammed in behind me. https://t.co/zxjFqPi8kZ

The Duke sign comes on the heels of Ohio State students getting criticized for a similar one about Michigan ahead of The Game on Saturday.
The Flint water crisis has been ongoing since 2014 and doesn’t appear to have an end in sight. It is a public health tragedy, and definitely not something that should be mocked for some easy kicks at a sporting event. Be better than that, fans.
The Blue Devils and Spartans have just tipped off at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The game is being broadcast on ESPN. Duke is ranked No. 5 and sits at 5-1, while Michigan State is 4-3.
