Duke Suspends 3 Basketball Players For Academic Reasons

Duke suspended three players this week.

Friday afternoon, Duke released a statement, informing fans that freshman star point guard Trevon Duval had been suspended for the team's upcoming preseason game against Bowie State. Saturday, Coach K issued an update, noting that three players have now been suspended.

Krzyzewski says that all three players - Duval, Jordan Goldwire and Alex O'Connell - will sit due to academic reasons.

It's unclear exactly what led to the suspensions.

Duke's first regular season contest comes against Elon on November 10.
