Duke is no stranger to landing top recruiting classes... in basketball. The Blue Devils football program is making a big-time push in 2019.

Today, Duke picked up a commitment from four-star wide receiver Eli Pancol. The Indiana native is the No. 8 player in the state.

247Sports ranks him as the No. 487 player in the entire class. He's the No. 64 wide receiver.

Eli Pancol announced his Duke commitment via Twitter.

Pancol's commitment comes days after a visit to Durham. His full note:

"MAN! This has already been a heck of a journey for me, and I can't thank the coaches and schools enough who have showed me love and done the MOST to make me feel like I am a truly deserved player. The appreciation I have for everyone throughout this process can't even be put into words. I am EXTREMELY EXCITED to announce my commitment to DUKE UNIVERSITY!! I always yold myself that I would wait until the time was right, and I knew it with all my heart while on campus. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported and continues to show support to me, nothing but LOVE for the true supporters: the biggest being my MOTHER, it had always been my goal to make you proud thank you for everything. Thank you Coach Richman, would not be anywhere near where I am today without you, thank you Wiltfong and 247, thanks to all my friends, you know who you are, and my step dad Kevin, my sisters Kaylyn, Karsyn, and Kennedy. I AM TRULY BLESSED, ALL GLORY TO GOD"

Pancol is the third composite four-star recruit to pledge to the Blue Devils early in this recruiting cycle. That moves Dave Cutcliffe's team into the top 10 in the country.

It didn't go unnoticed by the wide receiver. He spoke to 247Sports about the impact it has:

With Pancol in the fold, Duke’s class rises to No. 9 in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings, No. 2 in the ACC.

"I think everyone in our class can agree that that is huge," Pancol said of the Blue Devils moving into the Top10. "And I am so honored to be surrounded by all the talent, that’s amazing!"

Miami, which is currently ranked second overall, is the only ACC school ranked higher. Georgia currently has the top 2019 class, after winning the 2018 "recruiting national championship."
