Duke's Jahlil Okafor Has Officially Declared For The NBA Draft

In a move that will come as a surprise to no one, Duke freshman big man Jahlil Okafor has officially declared for the NBA Draft, per the program's Twitter account.

Okafor averaged 17.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game for the national champion Blue Devils this season. Given his size and skill set, he's a strong contender for the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, along with Kentucky's Karl-Anthony Towns. He is one of five finalists for the Wooden Award, one of the two major Player of the Year awards in college basketball.

With Okafor now gone, the attention shifts to Duke's other two frosh starters, point guard Tyus Jones and small forward Justise Winslow. Winslow, a possible top-5 pick, is essentially a lock to go pro, while Jones may bolt after winning the 2015 NCAA Tournament MOP award and boosting his stock.
