College basketball is finally back, as two of the best teams in the country will battle to start the 2019-20 season. Tonight we’ll see the Kansas Jayhawks take on the Duke Blue Devils.
Kansas is loaded with returning talent this season, meanwhile Duke is trying to reload after losing Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett and Cam Reddish to the NBA.
The Jayhawks have a starting lineup that consists of Devon Dotson, Udoka Azubuike, Ochai Agbaji and Silvio De Sousa. Bill Self has more than enough firepower to make a championship run this season.
Even though the Blue Devils lost a bunch of playmakers to the pros, the coaching staff does have Tre Jones, Javin DeLaurier, Alex O’Connell and Jack White back for another season.
Fans will also get to witness five-star freshmen Vernon Carey and Matthew Hurt make their collegiate debuts on Tuesday.
It’s pretty clear that Kansas has the edge when it comes to experience, but the final prediction from ESPN has Duke coming out on top.
According to ESPN’s Basketball Power Index, the Blue Devils have a 62.2 percent chance of defeating the Jayhawks.
Tipoff is at 7 p.m. ET from Madison Square Garden.
