ESPN Releases First Power Rankings For 2015-16 College Basketball Season, Maryland Edges North Carolina

ESPN Power Rankings Maryland and North Carolina ranked 1 and 2 respectively.

We're about a week away from the start of the 2015-16 men's basketball season. 

The Coaches' Poll and AP Poll have already been released. North Carolina and Kentucky are at the top of both polls. ESPN has released its first power rankings for the season and there's a different team coming in at No. 1. 

Maryland, led by preseason All-American Melo Trimble, is at the top of ESPN's initial power rankings for the upcoming season.
