Since there’s no NCAA Tournament this year for college hoops fans to enjoy, it’s time for people to look ahead toward the 2020-21 season. Over the weekend, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello released his preseason top 25 poll.
This past season was dominated by Baylor and Kansas. It’s not all that surprising to see that both programs are in the top 10 for Borzello’s rankings.
What might surprise some people though is that Villanova and Creighton earned the top two spots in the ESPN preseason poll. Jay Wright will have plenty of scorers at his disposal as he tries to win his third national title.
Duke and Kentucky are also toward the top of this poll, but it’ll depend on which players return and which declare for the NBA Draft. John Calipari’s squad could have Ashton Hagans and Immanuel Quickley back for another season.

- Villanova
- Creighton
- Gonzaga
- Baylor
- Kentucky
- Duke
- Iowa
- Virginia
- Michigan State
- Kentucky
Although this past season may have been considered a down year for Virginia, the early outlook for the program next season is very good. In fact, they have strong odds to win the NCAA Tournament in 2021.
