ESPN's Dan Dakich Blasted Marvin Bagley III During Tonight's Game: "He Is About Himself"

Duke is playing Virginia Tech on ESPN's Big Monday tonight. Dan Dakich is the color analyst on the broadcast.

This is the second game back from injury for Duke freshman star Marvin Bagley III. The Blue Devils went 4-0 without him in the lineup and then won on Saturday against Syracuse in his return.

Bagley is a tremendous talent and a lock for the NBA lottery come June. That didn't stop Dakich from offering some pointed criticism of the young standout.

During the first half tonight, Dakich accused Bagley of being selfish. He recognized the smooth lefty's talent, but accused him of being all about himself.

To be fair, Dakich has been more complimentary of Bagley in the second half, calling one basket he scored "terrific" because of his positioning.

Dakich's style is rough and tumble. He relishes being the "bad guy" that fan bases love to hate. If you search his name on Twitter now, he's getting plenty of heat for his take on Bagley.

We reckon he wouldn't have it any other way.

As for his points, well, Bagley does struggle on defense, which Dakich mentioned as well. And he's at his best when he gets the ball in isolation situations, either on the block or just off of it.

Still, we've seen him a lot this year, and he doesn't strike us as a selfish player.
