Gary Trent Jr., 5-Star SG, Down To 5 Schools
Five-star Gary Trent Jr., the No. 2 shooting guard in the 2017 class, has trimmed his list to five schools, according to multiple reports.
Trent first informed ESPN's Paul Biancardi and Scout's Evan Daniels that he is down to Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State and UCLA. He then confirmed his finalists on his personal Twitter account.
Gary Trent Jr. has his eyes set on some blue blood programs.
Trent Jr. plays for Saint Paul (Minn.) Apple Valley and is the son of former NBA forward Gary Trent. The elder Trent played nine seasons in the league with the Portland Trail Blazers, Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves.
All 22 experts in Trent's 247Sports Crystal Ball predict he is bound for Duke.
Recently, Trent told SNY.tv that he and fellow five-star Wendell Carter plan to attend the same school as a "package deal." Trent also said he intends to verbally commit before the start of his senior season.
"The package deal is most definitely on. He was actually my roommate at the Nike Academy and he's my roommate before we go, so we have continue to bond and grow as people."

"I want to commit before the season starts." explained Trent. "I don't want to go every game with questions about where I'm gonna go or commit. So I want to get that out of the way."
Carter is the No. 4 overall player in the 2017 class according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He is also projected to pick Duke, so it looks like Mike Krzyzewski might be on his way to bringing another banner recruiting class to Durham.
The Blue Devils have had the nation's No. 1 recruiting haul two of the last three years.
